He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ellen Presnell, Alice Littleton and Bernice Ledford and a brother, Paul Blankenship. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a sister, Mabel Blankenship Pennington (John), Johnson City; a brother, James Blankenship, Greeneville; brother-in-law, Russell Ledford; several nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Friday, August 5, 2022, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
